What started as a quiet weekend idea in a hotel room has grown into something so much bigger than I imagined. This post shares the heart behind the Bread Winner Summit, what makes it different, and how it's designed to serve sourdough microbakery owners in a way no other event does. Whether you're just starting or looking to scale without burning out, this summit is for you.
If you've ever felt like you’re piecing together business advice that wasn’t made with your life or your bakery in mind, you're not alone. That’s exactly why I created this.
The Idea That Sparked the Summit
This summit didn’t come from a grand plan. It started on a birthday weekend when I gave myself 24 hours alone in a hotel room—just to dream. I had this sense that something bigger needed to exist for women building microbakeries. Not just another webinar or business bootcamp, but a space created for us and by one of us.
I opened up my laptop, asked ChatGPT a few questions, and mapped out a 2-day virtual summit. Then, on a long road trip, I talked through the idea with my husband. By the time we got home, I had the name, the format, and a whole lot of notes in my phone.
That’s how The Breadwinner Summit was born.
What Makes This Summit Different
There are plenty of baking workshops out there. There are business podcasts, coaching programs, and marketing memberships. But until now, there hasn’t been a single place that speaks directly to the real, layered experience of running a sourdough microbakery as a woman, a mom, a creative, and a business owner.
This summit is different because it doesn’t just talk about bread. It talks about life. About rhythm. About money and energy and mindset and systems.
It’s not about hustling more. It’s about building something sustainable.
The Six Pillars of a Sustainable Microbakery
I built the Bread Winner Summit around six core pillars—areas I believe every microbakery owner needs to grow in, revisit, and feel supported in.
1. Sales
2. Marketing
3. Processes
4. Products
5. Lifestyle
6. Cash Flow
Each speaker and session is grounded in one or more of these themes.
Who the Summit Is For
This is for you if you’ve ever said:
“I wish I could ask someone how they’re doing this.”
“I love baking, but I need a better system.”
“I feel alone trying to figure this out.”
“I want to grow, but I don’t want to burn out.”
Whether you’re in your first few months or years into your bakery, this summit will give you insight, encouragement, and strategies to grow with confidence.
The All-Access Pass (And Why It’s Worth It)
The summit is free to attend live on April 14–15. But for those who want more time to watch and deeper access to the experience, I created the All-Access Pass.
With it, you’ll get:
Lifetime access to all 20+ sessions
Bonus trainings and downloads from speakers
Extra behind-the-scenes tools I’ve used in my own bakery
It’s for the baker who wants to revisit ideas slowly or catch up after a busy bake weekend. And it helps fund the summit so we can keep offering value-packed, sourdough-specific events like this in the future.
What I Hope You’ll Take Away
I hope you walk away from the summit feeling less alone.
I hope you feel encouraged—not just in your business, but in your life.
And I hope you leave with a notebook full of ideas and the confidence to implement them.
This summit was created with you in mind. The baker who wakes up early, juggles pickups and family life, and is quietly building something beautiful.
Final Thoughts
Creating the Bread Winner Summit has been a stretch and a joy. It’s taken more time, planning, and backend work than almost anything I’ve ever built—but it feels right. It feels necessary.
If you’re ready to feel supported, seen, and equipped in your business, I would love to see you there.
